On August 27, 2019, the Thai Timber Association, as a head of Import Control group, hold a meeting closure for the project of enhance Thai administration for importing timber and wood products, and to find a guidline to write new proposal on upgrading Thai’s timber and wood products to Food and Agriculture Oragnization (FAO), for contract renewal. Many from public, private, and civil society were invited to join in and comments on the draft of wood and timber importing, which was focused on due diligence, which the form was field-tested, and any comments to make the program develop further.

The idea of due diligence under Thai Timber Legality Assurance is being developed by the Thai Royal Forest Department to upgrade Thai’s timber and wood production to be accepted in the world market.
