On August 22, 2019, The Thai Timber Association, as a head of Import Control Sub-Working Group, holds the third Import Control meeting to talk about the result of the field test from Due-Diligence System (DDS) for Import Control. As the implementation is new to every sector, it takes time for the stakeholders to understand about them on legality, principles, and practices. Not to mention about prevention on further affection that could happen to traders on both ends and for illegal timber to enter into the market. The outcome of this meeting will be brought for further discussion with EU.The meeting was hold at Bangkok Chada on August 22, 2019, with 25 participants, 13 men and 12 women.
