 More than 3 years since Thailand by Royal Forest Department (RFD) was established Thai – EU FLEGT Secretariat Office or TEFSO in 2013 that has a function to coordinate and carry on FLEGT VPA negotiation process between Thailand and the European Union. This year is a Thailand’s propitious advance to have the formal negotiation and a clear purpose with the EU on 29-30 June 2017.

NO.10 NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 2017 TEFSO Newsletter Thai-EU FLEGT Secretariat Office HAPPY  NEW  YEAR  2018 The successful of TEFSO More than 3 years since Thailand by Royal Forest Department (RFD) was established Thai – EU FLEGT Secretariat Office or TEFSO in 2013 that has a function to coordinate and carry on FLEGT VPA negotiation process between Thailand and the European Union. This year is a Thailand’s propitious advance to have the formal negotiation and a clear purpose with the EU on 29-30 June 2017. In 2017, RFD by TEFSO has organized many multi-level meetings (local and international level) that are:   Multi-level meetings Meeting no. Ad-Hoc Working Group on FLEGT VPA (AHWG) 4 Sub-Committee on FLEGT Preparation  (Sub-Committee) 3 National Committee on FLEGT Negotiation (NFC) 3 Technical Meeting between AHWG and EFI (TC) 3 Video Conference between Thailand and the EU (VC) 1 Joint Expert Meeting (JEM) 1 Negotiation meeting on FLEGT between Thailand and the EU (NEG) 1 Others 25 TEFSO received a consistent cooperation derived from all stakeholders from government sector, private sector, and CSOs in FLEGT VPA process throughout year 2017. The total number of stakeholders participated our meeting is 562 people which is  320 male particpants (56.74%) and 244 female participants (43.26%). It shows that Thailand support and give an opportunity to all genders and ages to participate and comment including having a role and being a part of  FLEGT VPA process in Thailand.
