On 16th August 2018, Mr James Sandom, a consultant of verification of timber on private land and field test, together with Mr Somporn Kongkritkorn, a SMEs consultant, paid a visit to the Thai private land sub-working group. This visit aimed to inform the roles of Mr James and to present his work plan. This meeting was organised by Thai – EU FLEGT Secretariat Office (TEFSO) at TEFSO meeting room.

During the discussion, the consultant and the sub-working group highlighted the key issues to be explored during the project. To explain, the consultant will do a field test of verification of timber on private land via self- declaration and via E-tree system. Moreover, both side also exchanged views and opinions from related organisations such as divisions under Thai Royal Forest Department, Private Plantation Forest Cooperatives, and Thai Panel Product Industry Club. This discussion also demanded to develop well understandings and direction of the consultant’s working procedures.
