On 15 May 2017, The Royal Forest Department under The Permission Bureau arranges The National FLEGT Committe Meeting No.2/2017 at The Ministry of National Resources and Environment (MNRE).

Mr.Wijarn Simachaya, Permanent Secretary of Ministry assigned Mr.Pralong Damrongthai, Inspector-General of MNRE and Mr.Chonlatid Surussawadee, Director General of RFD to be the co-chairmen.

The objectives of the second meeting are 1) to inform and ask for comments on the draft agenda of  Joint Expert Meeting II (JEM II) and Negotiation round I (NEG I), including to discuss on the meeting procedure.

The second JEM and the first Negotiation will be arranged at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok during 27-30 June 2017. The committees agree to the meeting procedure, venue, meeting contents and to be informed the list of EU-Delegations.

However,the meeting suggests TEFSO to formally inform the EU side on the meeting procedures and revised road map as well.

The last session of the meeting, Mr.Banjong Wongsrisoontron, Director of TEFSO presents Green Procurement issues and the lesson learn from study tour on FLEGT implementation and TLAS at Indonesia.
