On 21st January, 2019, Mr Athapol Charoenchansa, the director general of the Royal Forest Department (RFD), together with representatives of the FLEGT VPA ad-hoc working group had paid a visit to General Surasak Karnjanarat, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.This aimed to report FLEGT VPA progress since its start until present which the minister paid attention to. In this regards, General Karnjanarat also accelerate the RFD about the FLEGT VPA process as well as about the revision of the related laws and regulations in accordance with the government policy. Moreover, the general also stated and highlighted the way of working process which needs to be sharp, purposive, and quick. This is in order to best serve the people and to be beneficial to Thailand.
