The meeting aims to increase understanding of timber import control; a new issue for Thailand. The European Forest Institute (EFI) presented relevant information which focuses on the different of Pre and Post Import for the Thai side that helps for further consideration. Moreover, there have several issues agreed in the meeting, such as more discussion needs about reclaimed wood declaration mechanism, update self-declaration on the private land concept, and period to submit the related documents to the EU that start on 31 March for the first round.
The 42 participants from multi-stakeholders attended 16 females and 26 male.
