Mr Pongboon Pongtong Chaired the National FLEGT Committee (NFC) no.1 of this year on 17 March 2020 at the Meeting room, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The meeting attended by the representative of the Department of Trade Negotiations, Department of Foreign Trade,  Division of Foreign Affairs, The Forest Industry Organization, and Royal Forest Department amount 22 persons.

This meeting considered a draft annexes under FLEGT VPA that plan to have a negotiation with the EU this year. They agreed on the content of Annexe 3: Condition for the Release for Free Circulation in the Union of The FLEGT-Licensed Timber Products (CR), Annexe 5: Thai Timber Legality Assurance System (TLAS), Annexe 6: Thai Supply Chain Control (SCC), and Annexe 7: Terms of Reference for the Independent Audit (IA).

The next meeting will arrange in May to consider a remain annexes that are under the discussion of AHWG level.
