On 15 February 2016, Forest Certificate Office (FCO) and Thai – EU FLEGT Secretariat Office (TEFSO) under RFD arranged the Thai – EU FLEGT VPA working group on product scope meeting no.1/2016 at meeting room no.1, Tieam Komkrit Building,RFD. Mr. Pralong Damrongthai, Deputy Director of Royal Forest Department was a chairman, 40 participants attended the meeting. The VPA annex on product scope identifies the range of timber and timber products covered by a Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) and identifies each product by a HS code. Raw materials such as logs, sawn wood, veneers, plywood and railway sleepers must be included, However, Thailand can include additional products in order to cover all of their timber exports to the EU. After all, It’s depend on Thailand stakeholders opinion to identifies the range of timber and timber products under FLEGT VPAs process.
