On 13 March 2020, Mr Attapol Charoenchansa, Director of The Royal Forest Department (RFD) chaired the AHWG meeting no.2; considering a self-declaration on the private land concept and verification under Thai Timber Assurance System (THA-TLAS). The meeting attended by a representative from 46 multi-stakeholders, 14 female and 32 male, at Rama Gardens Hotel.

             The conclusion of the meeting agreed on the self-declaration concept; The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), a leader of the sub-working group responses to revise a paper base on a meeting recommendation. The paper will consider by the Sub – Committee (SC) which RFD will proceed further on providing a concrete mechanism parallelly.

          Moreover, the meeting was agreed in principle for the government sector to lead the implementation process. The pros and cons were review and will submit to the National FLEGT Committee (NFC) for further consideration.
