On August 14th, 2018, Mr. James Sandom, a Consultant on Supply Chain Control (SCC) supported by European Forest Institute (EFI), and Mr. Alex Hinrichs the representatives from EFI together with Ms. Somrudee Nicrowattanayingyong, FLEGT Facilitator for Thailand, paid a visit and had some discussion with Ms. Rungnapa Wattanavichian, a representative from the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) which responsible for the self-declaration of Supply Chain Control (SCC) and Ms. Panjit Tansom, the Project Consultant. This meeting aimed to discuss over the workplan and working procedures of both Mr. James Sandom and Ms. Rungnapa which are related and linked.
According to the meeting, Mr.James’s research is covering the possibility of Self-declaration of operator in every species by exploring all required and related documents used from its start to the factory. In case of FTI’s project, it is covering a larger scope which are all unregulated species from its start throughout the Chain of Custody (CoC).
