In the morning, on 17 May 2018 – Thai-EU FLEGT Secretariat Office (TEFSO) together with  the Standardization Division (TLAS sub-working group leader) arranged the TLAS sub-working group meeting at TEFSO Meeting room, KU Alumni Association Bldg. The meeting aimed to discuss on TLAS action plan and consider the EFI’s comment on the draft of TLAS paper.

Since the TLAS paper has been drafted and submitted to EU for comments, but there are some points which doesn’t clear regarding the verification process, independent audit and FLEGT licensing organization description. Hence the sub-working group took the opportunity to discuss and  seek the proper organization to take responsible as the FLEGT Licensing organization, the meeting also discuss on verification agency’s structure and scope of work for agencies or authorities who are responsible for checking  the required document lists for licensing.

For the independent audit, the sub-working group suggested to verify the system only once a year. However, the agency/organization who obtain an 1901 ISO certification might be established for take this responsibility. Thus, if there is a compliant, the system will report to JIC for further process.
