On 10 March 2016 at Teimkromkrit Building, RFD meeting room no.1 , Mr.Chonlatid Suraswadi, Director General of RFD welcomes the sub-committee on FLEGT VPA .
Director General of RFD assigns Mr. Pralong Damrongthai, Deputy Director General of RFD to be a chairman (DG is occupied with government duty) , the representative from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Customs, Forest Industry Organization,Ministry of Commerce, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Local Administration, TEFSO, private sector and relevant officers attended the meeting.
The meeting aims to consult and preparing for Joint Expert Meeting II (JEM II) and the first FLEGT VPA negotiation between Thailand and EU.
Sub-committee discuss on the concept and agenda of JEM II and the first negotiation ,Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Kasemsan Jinnawaso will be the chief negotiator on Thai side, The two meetings will be arranged on 24-27 Apr,2016 at Bangkok.
The result from the sub-committee on FLEGT VPA meeting will be presented to FLEGT VPA committee on 15 March.
