On 28 May 2020, the sixth AHWG meeting was held remotely via Zoom Meeting to discuss a revision plan of the Thai Timber Legality Definition annex draft. Fifty participants from the multi-stakeholder group attended the meeting. The ad-hoc working group planned to put forth this annex draft to the negotiation table between Thailand and the EU this year.

Mr. Vijarn Sensakul, director of the Legal Act and Contract Division and leader of the LD sub-working group and Ms. Pawinee Udommai, the annex drafting consultant, presented the revision plan at the meeting. The plan primarily focuses on updating the draft to agree with the amended and officially announced laws, adding more measures to protect the environment and local community. The working group is also taking comments from the European Forest Institute (EFI) into the drafting process.
