The EFI’s EU FLEGT Facility worked together with Ban Thi Sub-district Municipality to conduct a pilot study to support mechanisms for reclaimed wood/recycle wood operators in three sub-districts in Lam Phun province: Ban Thi, Huay Yab and Makheau Chae. The study follows on from the findings obtained from 2 earlier studies. : ‘Thailand: Diagnoses and Regulatory Assessment of SmEs in the Mekong Region and ‘Case study: Support Mechanisms for Small, micro and informal forest products enterprises (SmEs)’.  The objectives of the new pilot project are: to increase reclaimed wood households business competitiveness in the furniture market.
